Biography
|
Alex Almoukov is Australia’s only biathlon representative in Vancouver.
A member of the sport’s new generation, the 19-year-old has already taken part in five world junior championships and made his World Cup debut in January 2009. He also competed in his first senior worlds in Korea in March with some promising results.
Almoukov has strong pedigree in sport – he is coached by his father Nick – the pair occasionally race against each other in Australia
