Biography
|
Svetlana Paramygina (sometimes Paramyguina) (Belarusian: Святлана Парамыгіна) is a former Belarusian biathlete. She was born April 5, 1965 in Sverdlovsk, the USSR, now it is Yekaterinburg, Russia). Her international biathlon career began in 1983. In the 1993/1994 season she won the overall World Cup. The following year she finished second overall. She won a silver medal in the sprint even at the 1994 Winter Olympics in Lillehammer. After the 2000/2001 season she retired as biathlete. Now she lives in Minsk (Belarus) and she is a journalist of the “Pressball” newspaper (pressball.by).
